Things you need to know

1. If you just want to sign up for the newsletter, a sign-up can be found at the bottom of the page. The newsletter subscribers get sneak peaks at information before they appear anywhere else. It is also a great way to make sure you don't miss any major announcements like new book releases.

2. If you are interested in following me on social media, links to my social media pages are also found at the bottom of the page. If you don't see your favorite social media site listed, there is an entry under the FAQ page explaining why it may not be there.

3. I absolutely love getting fan mail! With that said, I have to warn that not everything sent to me is something I will be able to reply to. At times, there may be a large backlog of emails for me to go through. Since I can't support my family if I don't keep writing, there will be times when non-essential emails are delayed until they can be given the proper attention they deserve. Please be patient. A response may take a long time. If I become very swamped, it may not be possible for me to reply at all. This does not mean I am not grateful for your show of interest and your appreciation of my work, but instead reflects the nature of handling all aspects of authorship without an assistant. Of late, I've been getting tremendous piles of gibberish spam sent to my email. It's become difficult to keep track of legitimate messages. As such, you can add a phrase to your subject line that will help me filter your letter into a folder for more immediate reading. The phrase is: Honest Fan

4. Please be aware that by emailing me, you consent to having that email possibly appear in my newsletter or blog postings. If it does, your identity, address and/or email will not be disclosed. This is not a common situation, but may occur if a question or comment comes that is important to the readership as a whole. Be aware that the response may be a rebuttal, but that you will not be attacked or made fun of for your thoughts and opinions.

5. If you are a venue that is requesting for me to attend an event, please include all of the important information relating to that venue. I am more likely to attend local events or those which reimburse costs than distant events where I am required to fund my own attendance. I am more than happy to do book signings, talks or other similar events as time permits. To ensure that your request is filtered into the correct folder, please use the following phrase in the subject line of your email: Venue Request

6. I understand the importance of privacy. If at any time you wish to remove yourself from the newsletter mailing list, every email has a link to unregister. Your information will be permanently deleted from the mailing list. No names, addresses or emails used to contact me will be used for any other purpose. Currently, I have configured my newsletter to only require an active email.
